Realizing that today's world is one of information and potentially information overload or even worse mis-information, this page is a glossary of terms that are used within this website, the business worlds and personal worlds.
The purpose of this glossary is to ensure that we are thinking about the same definitions. For each of us carries our own unique definition for every word that we use or combination of words that we use.
The words within this glossary will relate to business building, change management, coaching, customer service, education, leadership, management, business networking, quality management programs, small business help, training and development, goal achievement, self-improvement, student leadership and success. If the source is not myself, I have noted the source.

Business Building
Marketing is both a strategy and a tactic to create constant awareness and promotion of your products and services with the desired result of potential customers also known as prospects:
- To consider your products and services
- To become clients or customers
Planning Planning unites the marketing and sales activities to ensure that both are successful and hence also requires measurements or benchmarks. Within the sales training book, planning ranges from looking at a sales process to professional development.
Potential Qualified Customers are who you desire to do business with and these folks meet the 4 qualifying criteria. By using this phrase instead of prospects you have changed how your think about these individuals and therefore your behavior will change as well.
Sales is an emotional and logical process where a buyer and a seller are engaged in a mutually beneficial relationship that involves the exchange of something, usually money, for something, usually a product or service, that will meet specific needs both known and unknown of the buyer.
Education
Learning is the acquisition of knowledge.
Performance is the application of knowledge.
Self Improvement
